Kempt Road walkers can be transported in the morning or the evening to various points along the Kempt Road. Upon reservation, visitors can stay in bed and breakfasts or in motels that will supply a picnic lunch to their guests (upon request). Transportation services will take walkers to points along the road to allow them to travel along the various trails at their leisure.
The route (moderate difficulty with the exception of a few hills) is accessible to everyone looking for a relaxing adventure over a total distance of 155,5 km divided as follows:
Note that the route of the first six trails has markers indicating each kilometer.
Departures are from Ristigouche Sud Est or inversely from Métis. The St-Fidèle, Assemetquagan and Casault trails are not inhabited and will help you to better visualize the journey and appreciate the solitary challenge, while remaining in a secure environment . We invite walkers to take the route of their ancestors, these pioneers who faced difficult conditions. The remainder of the route along Route 132 from du Causapscal to Métis can be travelled on foot or by automobile, over a distance of 88.5 km.
